Science Dialogue 2025: What a celebration!

We celebrated 150 years of innovation!

On Tuesday, 30 September 2025, the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna hosted our Science Dialogue 2025, an event that focused on the diversity of science.

On the occasion of Shimadzu Corporation’s 150th anniversary, we welcomed nearly 400 guests (a record for us!), who enjoyed a day full of inspiring lectures and cultural experiences.

Science Dialogue 2025 provided a platform for high-profile speakers who presented current topics from various scientific disciplines in an exciting way.

Focus on: Material Testing

We are delighted to have welcomed Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Frank Walther, Technical University of Dortmund, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, to Shimadzu’s 150th anniversary celebrations!

We were fascinated by his presentation:
