Pentru acest test, au fost utilizate un tester universal de precizie AGS-X \u0219i un dispozitiv de prindere plat de tip pneumatic. Tabelul 2 prezint\u0103 condi\u021biile de testare. Fig. 1 prezint\u0103 o diagram\u0103 schematic\u0103 a epruvetei de \u00eencercare cu cle\u0219te. \u00cen ceea ce prive\u0219te m\u00e2nerele, ISO 13934-2 descrie dimensiunea fe\u021belor de prindere ca fiind de \"minimum 25 mm x 40 mm, de preferin\u021b\u0103 50 mm, pe o parte, 25 mm x 25 mm pe cealalt\u0103 parte\" sau \"pozi\u021bionate \u00een unghi drept cu fa\u021ba de prindere de minimum 25 mm x 40 mm, de preferin\u021b\u0103 50 mm, pe ambele p\u0103r\u021bi\". \u00cen plus, \"fe\u021bele f\u0103lcilor trebuie s\u0103 fie netede \u0219i plane, cu excep\u021bia cazului \u00een care, chiar \u0219i cu \u00eempachetare, epruveta nu poate fi \u021binut\u0103 \u00een mod satisf\u0103c\u0103tor cu f\u0103lci cu fe\u021be plane, pot fi utilizate f\u0103lci gravate sau ondulate pentru a preveni alunecarea. Alte materiale auxiliare care pot fi utilizate cu f\u0103lcile netede sau ondulate pentru a \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bi prinderea epruvetei includ h\u00e2rtia, pielea, materialele plastice sau cauciucul.\" \u00cen acest test, a fost utilizat\u0103 o fa\u021b\u0103 de prindere plat\u0103, pentru a preveni ruperea f\u0103lcilor. \"L\u0103\u021bimea fiec\u0103rui specimen de \u00eencercare trebuie s\u0103 fie de 100 mm, iar lungimea acestuia trebuie s\u0103 fie suficient de mare pentru a asigura lungimea de gabarit de 100 mm.\" Dimensiunile epruvetei au fost de 100 mm l\u0103\u021bime \u0219i suficient de lung\u0103 pentru a fixa lungimea de gabarit de 100 mm. \u00cen plus, o linie paralel\u0103 cu firele de urzeal\u0103 sau de b\u0103t\u0103tur\u0103 a fost trasat\u0103 la o distan\u021b\u0103 de 38 mm de un cap\u0103t al epruvetei, iar epruveta a fost montat\u0103 astfel \u00eenc\u00e2t linia trasat\u0103 s\u0103 coincid\u0103 cu o margine a m\u00e2nerelor. Dac\u0103 un rezultat al unei rupturi a maxilarului se situeaz\u0103 peste cel mai sc\u0103zut rezultat al unei rupturi \"normale\", acesta poate fi inclus. Cu ajutorul unei fe\u021be de prindere plate, a fost posibil\u0103 efectuarea testelor f\u0103r\u0103 o ruptur\u0103 a maxilarului.
